Are you an experienced Business Travel Consultant who remains calm when plans change and travellers need urgent support?
We are recruiting for a growing, award-winning travel management company looking for an experienced consultant to join its late-shift team. You will manage business travel requirements independently, resolving urgent issues and ensuring travellers receive a professional service outside standard office hours.
Late Shift Business Travel Consultant: What will I be doing?
- Managing business travel bookings, amendments, reissues, cancellations and urgent requests.
- Finding practical, cost-effective solutions during disruption or time-sensitive situations.
- Using the GDS confidently to manage flights, hotels, rail and other travel arrangements.
- Following individual client travel policies and agreed service requirements.
- Recording activity accurately and highlighting any potential issues.
- Escalating more serious incidents when appropriate.
- Preparing clear handover notes so colleagues can continue supporting the traveller seamlessly.
- Acting as a knowledgeable and dependable point of contact while other support teams are less readily available.
Late Shift Business Travel Consultant: What experience do I need?
- Previous experience as a Business Travel Consultant within a travel management company.
- Strong working knowledge of Sabre, Amadeus or Travelport.
- Experience managing changes, reissues, cancellations and disrupted travel.
- The confidence to make informed decisions while working independently.
- A calm, organised and professional approach to urgent situations.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous out-of-hours or 24-hour travel experience would be advantageous.
- Experience with refunds, billing, post-travel queries or incident management would also be useful.
Late Shift Business Travel Consultant: What else do I need to know?
This position operates on a staggered four-days-on, four-days-off rota.
Shifts will be either:
12:00pm-10:00pm
1:00pm-11:00pmYou will need to attend one of their offices regularly for training and meetings and ad hoc days so being near London, or Glasgow is important.
