Are you an experienced corporate travel professional with a background in group travel, meetings or events?
This is a varied, hands-on opportunity to manage the travel and logistical arrangements for corporate meetings, conferences and incentive programmes. You'll look after each requirement from the initial enquiry through to completion, coordinating complex group travel while delivering a highly organised and responsive service.
Meetings & Events Consultant -What will you be doing?
- Managing group travel arrangements for corporate meetings, conferences and incentive events
- Booking complex group air travel, including departures from multiple locations
- Handling changes, reissues, cancellations and refunds
- Sourcing and coordinating flights, hotels, venues and ground transportation
- Liaising and negotiating with airlines, accommodation providers, venues and other suppliers
- Responding to client requests by phone, email and digital channels
- Supporting clients calmly and efficiently during disruptions or urgent changes
- Keeping booking, traveller and financial information accurate and up to date
- Following client travel policies, supplier conditions and internal procedures
- Supporting invoicing, billing and bill-back processes
- Managing several bookings and changing priorities at the same time
- Working closely with colleagues during busy periods and larger events
Meetings & Events Consultant - What experience do I need?
- Experience within corporate travel with group travel, meetings or events
- Previous experience arranging travel for groups, conferences or corporate events
- Good working knowledge of Sabre GDS
- Experience managing complex bookings, changes, reissues and refunds
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to remain calm and solutions-focused when plans change
- A positive, collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider team
- Confidence using booking systems, email and Microsoft Office
- An understanding of invoicing, bill-backs or private travel arrangements
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the detail and variety involved in group travel and events. You'll manage interesting and sometimes complex requirements while becoming a trusted point of contact for corporate clients and their travellers.
Meetings & Events Consultant - What else do I Need to know ?
This is a flexible hybrid role with a requirement to be in the office as much as possible but there is flexibility around this. They have offices in London and Hampshire. The business is growing and there are plenty of career opportunities for someone who is ambitious. The basic salary is good with a bonus and 25 days holiday plus lots of ad hoc incentives.
