Bookkeeper and Practice Administrator - Dorking
This well-established Accountancy Practice are looking for a full time Bookkeeper and Administrator to help support their team. This is a hybrid role where initially you will be working 3 days a week in the office and 2 days from home although the office work may increase in time.

Bookkeeper and Practice Administrator - What will I be doing?

  • You will be spending 60% of your time bookkeeping for a variety of clients as well as carrying out the bookkeeping for the Practice.
  • You will be also be preparing VAT returns for clients and the Practice
  • 40% of your time will be spent carrying out administrative tasks to support the team - this includes answering the phone and distributing the mail.

Bookkeeper and Practice Administrator - What experience do I need?

  • Ideally you will have worked as a bookkeeper at an accountancy practice previously but if not then as a bookkeeper in industry within a busy fast paced high-volume role.
  • You will be proficient in Xero or Quickbooks
  • It is essential that you have a very high attention to detail and are happy multi-tasking as this is a very caried fast paced role.

Bookkeeper and Practice Administrator - Additional Info:
This is a full-time role Monday - Friday 9 - 5.30 working 3 days in the office and 2 from home. The team is small and supportive. This is a great business to be involved in and a lovely town to work in.

  • Part Time Accountant
    £35000 - £40000 per annum FTE

    Part Time Accountant
    This is a permanent role working for a lovely local accountancy practice with a high volume of work on the tax return side. They are well established and are a very friendly team working in lovely offices in central Dorking. The role is hybrid.

    Accountant - What will I be doing?

    • The majority of your time will be spent completing tax returns and accounts for individuals, trusts and partnerships.
    • There is also opportunity to prepare limited company accounts and corporation tax returns.
    • You will be regularly speaking with customers and HMRC to ensure a smooth efficient service.
    • This will be based in the Dorking office 2 days a week and 2 days remotely however initial training will require 5 days in the office

    Accountant - What experience do I need?

    • You will be a qualified or part qualified accountant (or qualified by experience) - Experience of Xero is prefereable.
    • We will consider someone studying ATT
    • You must have experience of working in a practice completing self-assessment tax returns
    • You must be a great communicator as you will be regularly speaking to clients.

    Accountant - What else do I need to know?
    This role can be working flexible hours between 20 - 30 per week but must be carried out over a minimum of 4 days a week, with 2 of those being in the office in Dorking. The salary is dependent on experience, but the range is between £33 - £40k FTE
