Financial Reporting Manager

Our client is an award-winning global travel operation and they are seeking a meticulous Financial Reporting Manager to oversee financial reporting duties, including statutory accounting and VAT reporting for EMEA subsidiary entities.

Financial Reporting Manager - What will I be doing?

• Prepare accurate financial results and positions for subsidiary entities in collaboration with advisors and the General Accounting team.
• Compile year-end accounts packs and oversee annual accounts preparation.
• Manage lease accounting and handle financial reporting of share-based payments.
• Lead UK audits.
• Manage foreign VAT annual reclaims as required.
• Responsible for the withholding tax reporting process on vendor invoices in Italy & Spain
• Manage corporation tax payments and refunds.
• Assistance with tax investigations, audits or ad hoc requests.
• Aid in Board meeting preparation and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical accounting support and oversee VAT and corporation tax.
• Review CAA/ABTA returns and manage VAT refunds and credits.

Financial Reporting Manager - What experience do I need?

• Ideally you will have a mix of practice and industry experience.
• You will have a Degree in Accounting or related field, along with a Qualified Accountant certification.
• Strong understanding of accounting practices, VAT, and corporation tax.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and effective workload management skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and proven ability to add value through process improvement.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

Financial Reporting Manager - what else do I need to know?

This is a hybrid role based 3 days a week in the office in Southampton (Mondays and Fridays from home) Salary range £68k - £72 dependant on experience. Private healthcare, 25 days holiday, wonderful offices, free parking. This is a truly magnificent business to be part of.
