Fares Specialist - Business Travel
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing travel management business who are looking to strengthen their team with the addition of a Fares Specialist.
This is a key role within the business, acting as the go-to expert for complex airfares, ticketing and pricing. You will play an important part in ensuring the business secures the best possible commercial outcomes on flights, balancing accuracy, creativity and compliance to deliver the right results for both clients and the business.
You will be an expert on GDS and Fares and will enjoy problem-solving, working with complex itineraries and taking ownership of high-value fare decisions.
Fares Specialist - what will I be doing?
- Providing expert support on complex fares, ticketing, reissues and pricing queries
- Constructing and pricing itineraries using a mix of published fares, net rates and negotiated agreements
- Ensuring the most commercially effective fare options are secured while remaining fully compliant with airline rules and client policies
- Supporting internal teams with guidance on fare rules, pricing strategies and best practice
- Troubleshooting complex bookings and handling escalations where required
- Working closely with the wider team to improve accuracy, consistency and confidence around fares
Fares Specialist - what experience do I need?
- Strong experience within business travel or a TMC environment
- Confident GDS skills (Sabre preferred) including fares, ticketing and reissues
- Solid understanding of fare construction and airline rules
- Experience working with net fares, consolidators or negotiated rates
- Ability to manage complex itineraries and make sound commercial decisions
- Strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach
