Travel Specialist (Education Travel )
This is both an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for a Travel Specialist with at least two years’ sales experience to join an award-wining tour operator that offers fantastic tailor-made trips. Perhaps you are a teacher with a passion for travel and experiencing different cultures and you’d like to use your skills within a slightly different environment. Travel Specialist (Education) - What will I be doing?
As a Travel Specialist you will be responsible for handling school enquires over the telephone and via e-mail, whilst dealing with the administration of your bookings. Initially you are likely to specialise in the Company’s Iceland and Italy product, with the prospect of taking on other destinations in parallel, or at a later date. You’ll also work with teachers to ensure their pupils get the full benefit of educational travel and the opportunity to learn outside the classroom which is why your experience and expertise within the educational sector will be invaluable!
Travel Specialist (Education) - What experience do I need?- Ability to tailor-make, advise and plan bespoke itineraries to a specific destination(s)
- Able to deliver sales / information presentations in schools or virtually, often out of office hours
- High degree of flexibility and an ability to deal with change
- Great at multi-tasking and managing demanding deadlines
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately; good level of numeracy and excellent spoken and written English
- Strong customer service, influencing and negotiating skills
- Confident user of Office 365
- Results and target orientated, with a can-do attitude
