Transport Coordinator

Transport Coordinator - What will I be doing?
The focus of this role is to deliver exceptional customer service both internally and externally and to liaise with suppliers and internal clients to help support the successful arrangements of tours. You will be responsible for managing, confirming, and making any amendments to coach bookings, advice the Sales and Operations teams of any expiring rail and Eurostar options, book relevant channel crossings and manage the administration of low-cost and scheduled flights as well as confirming payments and final ticketing information with the suppliers.
Transport Coordinator - What experience do I need?
- Demonstrable experience of delivering a high level of customer service, preferably within the travel industry
- Excellent eye for detail and accuracy
- Strong at building relationships
- Work autonomously and with limited supervision
- An ability to work to demanding deadlines, prioritise workloads and resolve problems
- Highly motivated, well-organised and detail focused
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent time management skills
- An ability to follow procedures and enhance them
- Good knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of a foreign language such as French/German/other would be advantageous although not essential
- World destination knowledge in particular Europe
- Sound knowledge of UK geography
Transport Coordinator - What else do I need to know?
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about travel and who has a genuine desire to support the development of the business and others. You’ll be a professional in all you do and have a positive approach to work and an ability to be flexible and adaptable. This role will also require the postholder to visit the Company’s other offices within the UK. The hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with the potential for some flexibility.
