Business Travel Consultant - Remote UK or Aberdeen
We are recruiting on behalf of a high-performing corporate travel management business known for a genuinely high-touch service, backed by smart, client-led technology. This is a hands-on consultant role where you'll look after travellers and travel bookers end-to-end, combining great service with commercial thinking to deliver smooth trips and real value.
Business Travel Consultant - what will I be doing?
- Managing end-to-end business travel bookings for your clients, tailoring each trip to traveller needs and company policy
- Taking a consultative approach: offering options, advising on best routings, and spotting ways to reduce cost without compromising experience
- Booking air, hotel, rail (including high-speed routes), and ancillary travel (car hire, ferries etc.)
- Applying quality control and data security standards in every booking, with strong attention to detail
- Monitoring bookings for potential savings right up until travel is complete, and proactively flagging better fares/rates where possible
- Handling ticketing tasks including reissues/changes, and working closely with ticketing support when needed
Business Travel Consultant - what experience do I need?
- Significant recent experience in a core business travel environment (TMC or similar), managing corporate bookings end-to-end
- Strong GDS capability (Sabre, Galileo and/or Amadeus), with confidence across fares, ticketing, and complex itineraries
- Good working knowledge of rail bookings and European rail options (high-speed routes, reservation systems, and tools)
- A calm, organised approach when volumes spike, with the ability to prioritise and hit deadlines
- Confident communication style and great customer service instincts - you build rapport naturally and handle policy conversations well
- Solid admin skills and comfort using tools like Word/Excel
Business Travel Consultant - What else do I need to know?
- Location: either fully remote, or hybrid if you're Aberdeen-based
- Training: you must be able to attend 3 weeks of training in Aberdeen
- Good salary and benefits plus quarterly and annual bonus
