Reservations Specialist - What will I be doing?
Whilst the core part of this role is booking accommodation, it offers a great deal of variety and no two days are the same. There’s a great deal of support and training on offer and the opportunity to progress is superb. Whether you are arranging hotels, bespoke accommodation, or managing existing bookings, you’ll need to be resourceful, have the ability to multi-task and must be able to react quickly and effectively and meet demanding and often changing deadlines. The position is challenging as well as fun and requires a self-motivated and ambitious individual with a desire to succeed.
Reservations Specialist - What experience do I need?- Most importantly, a great attitude and a passion for learning and self-development
- Experience within the travel industry, or a hospitality background would be beneficial
- A great relationship builder – are you good at talking to people? Do you come across credible, professional but also very personable and willing to go that extra mile to offer solutions?
- A problem solver who can follow through tasks and responsibilities
- Great communication skills, not just on the phone but by any means of correspondence
- Excellent eye for detail and accuracy – you take pride in what you do and quality for you is absolutely key
- A team player – can you step in and help others? Do you like to support colleagues and be part of a fun, creative and dynamic team?
- Highly motivated and well-organised - if this is you, you’ll thrive under pressure and manage your time effectively during quieter periods
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Reservations Specialist - What else do I need to know?
This role is part of a really supportive team and offers plenty of on-the-job training, so you won’t feel like you’ve been thrown in at the deep end! You do need to be flexible though as that way you’ll manage any change, growth and pressurised deadlines well and without feeling stressed. If you’re passionate about service, love planning and researching and dealing with clients and you’re a creative individual, this is a great opportunity for you to join a small business with a lovely family feel and a large market presence. The role is City based on a permanent basis for the first six months and then there’s an option to divide your time between home and the office.
