Operations Director - driving alignment, excellence, and growth
We're recruiting on behalf of a respected, forward-thinking, medium sized, travel management company entering a new stage of exceptional growth. They are multi award winning and have a strong reputation for service, innovation, and people. The business is now looking for an Operations Director to lead the next phase of operational development - aligning teams, systems, and culture across the UK.
This is a senior leadership role where you'll shape how the business operates day to day and set the vision for how it scales. You'll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to create consistency, efficiency, and excellence across every area of operations and technology.
Operations Director - What will I be doing ?
- Defining and delivering an operational strategy that aligns people, processes, and performance across the organisation.
- Leading transformation across workflow, automation, and systems to improve quality, speed, and scalability.
- Overseeing service delivery across multiple sites, ensuring exceptional standards and a client-first approach.
- Leading the UK technology and infrastructure teams, ensuring systems are secure, integrated, and ready for the future.
- Partnering with senior leaders to embed consistency and collaboration across operations, commercial, and technology functions.
- Managing and developing a talented leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Operations Director - What experience do I need ?
- Senior operational leadership experience gained within a TMC, business travel, or travel technology environment.
- Strong GDS knowledge and understanding of how technology supports efficient, high-quality travel operations.
- Demonstrable experience leading technology or infrastructure teams within a service-led organisation.
- Skilled in workflow design, automation, and driving transformation across large operational teams.
- Commercially minded and strategic, comfortable operating at board level.
- A people-focused leader who brings clarity, alignment, and energy to every team they lead.
