Finance Manager
£24,000 – £27,000 per annum (actual) for 25 hours/Part-time
Office based (Surrey)
You will be working for this independent charity who provide specialist Outreach Services, Independent Domestic Violence Advisor support, Counselling, a holistic programme of group work and other associated services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children in the borough of Reigate & Banstead and districts of Mole Valley and Tandridge. They deliver high quality life-saving services to survivors and their work has achieved recognition both locally and nationally. They are a small, well established and friendly team who are looking for a qualified Finance Manager to support them.
Finance Manager - What will I be doing?- In this multi-faceted role you will be supporting the Head of Finance & Operations in the following:
- Processing of transactions including supplier invoices and raising customer invoices
- Responsibility for driving the Charity’s impact reporting and performance monitoring
- Production of monthly management accounts, year-end accounts and budgets
- Payroll (20-person)
Finance Manager - What experience do I need?- You must be a qualified Finance Manager (ACCA or CIMA) with post-qualification experience
- Solid experience of working with SAGE 50 Accounts (essential)
- Knowledge of preparing payroll on SAGE Payroll (highly desirable)
- Strong attention to detail, excellent IT (including Excel), numerical and analytical skills
- This is a hands-on role so you will need to learn quickly and the ability to work with initiative is essential
Finance Manager - What else do I need to know?
This will be office based, there is no parking provided although there is parking available within a short walk and a contribution is made towards the cost. You will need to have empathy towards the work the Charity do and due to the nature of the work the Charity do this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010.You will report to the Head of Finance & Operations and there is potential to progress into that role in 12-18 months’ time.
