Financial Controller
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our Surrey-based Electronics Distribution company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting functions of the company. This is a part-time role, with flexible working hours and the option to work from home, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Manage financial transactions and ensure accuracy in recording and reporting.
- Using Quickbooks to maintain financial records and generate reports.
- Ensure proper cash-flow management and maintain liquidity.
- Monitor and control expenses, budgeting, and forecasting.
Stock Control and International Logistics:
- Preferred knowledge of stock control systems and international flow of goods.
- Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to optimise inventory management.
Debt Collection:
- Chase up debtors and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Implement effective credit control measures.
Reporting:
- Generate monthly management accounts in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Essential experience with Quickbooks accounting software.
- Strong cash-flow management skills.
- Good knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
- Proven experience in financial control and management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of stock control systems and international logistics is preferred.
- Experience in producing management accounts and audit packs.
- Familiarity with the electronics distribution industry is a plus.
