Part time Finance Manager for Secondary School - 18 hours pw, 42 weeks a year

This is a lovely role for an experienced Finance Manager of a school. You will be responsible for the provision of effective and efficient management of school finances, including aspects of budget setting and monitoring, procurement, income receipt, invoicing and audit preparation. You will be working 18 hours a week across 3 or 4 days a week.

Finance Manager - What will I be doing?

  • You will be responsible for running month end, invoices, journals, sales and records ensuring reconciliations are completed within set deadlines, including but not limited to: payroll reconciliation and journals, bank reconciliation, charge card reconciliation, debtor and creditor controls, spot checks, relevant accruals and system housekeeping.
  • Supervise the collection of debts
  • Assist in the monitoring and development of effective systems of financial accountability and control in line with the school's financial requirements.
  • Assist the Business Manager with setting, profiling and allocating the school budget.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of school trips, visits and other events ensuring the trips ledger is balanced and accounts are maintained.
  • Oversee the parent pay facility ensuring it is accessible for our families and staff. Managing any additions and changes required on a regular basis.


Finance Manager - What experience do I need ?

  • It is essential that you have worked with School Finances or with PS Financials previously and will be qualified or Part Qualified
  • You will have experience of development, management and operation of finance systems, completing monthly accounting processes and managing accounts receivable as well as a knowledge of audit procedure.


Finance Manager - What else do I need to know?

  • This is a part time permanent role working 18 hours a week which must be split across 3 or 4 days a week. You will only work 42 weeks a year.

    Their office is in London, but they are happy for this person to be based from home if they live too far to commute everyday but being able to come in frequently would be good. The hours are between 08.30 - 6 on a shift basis with half a day at a weekend every other week but this will become less as the team grows. The salary is competitive, 25 days holiday and a lovely supportive team.     Event Co-ordinator - What will I be doing?

    You will be liaising with clients and internal personnel to ensure all the details of events are arranged efficiently and all aspects of the administrative process regarding the planning and booking of events days are completed.

    This will include all related administration to include issuing invoices, building relationships with suppliers, processing and creating itineraries, applying for permits and much more.

    Event Co-ordinator - What experience do I need?

    It is essential that you have worked with discerning clients previously.
    You will be meticulously organised, have a great sense of urgency and experience of organising events together with the administrative support.

    Event Co-ordinator What else do I need to know?

    This is a full-time role Monday to Friday 9 - 5.30 but from September - February longer hours are sometimes needed. It is an office-based role. This is a lovely business, and the work is a great challenge and very interesting. This is a unique role.
