Mid Level PHP Developer

An exciting opportunity awaits a motivated PHP developer in an emerging brand in the luxury travel sector. You will be joining a small, dynamic team charged with delivering the next phase of the tech platform.

The role will span all areas of development and will work with a wide range of technologies to bring industry leading capabilities to a unique and innovative business. Our client is looking for bright individuals who like to challenge themselves, are willing to learn new things and take on responsibilities.

Mid Level PHP Developer Experience required:

  • A proficiency in PHP (OOP), working with PHP frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Phalcon, Slim or similar) in a commercial environment.
  • knowledge of SOLID and related OO design principles.
  • Hands on experience building and integrating APIs.
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their respective query languages.
  • DevOps capabilities (CI, Deployment Automation, Containerization). Knowledge of AWS is an advantage.
  • Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture is a plus.
  • An appreciation for TDD and unit testing.
  • Proficiency with Git versioning tools and workflows.
  • A working knowledge of Agile practices and its associated tools.
  • Aptitude in front-end technologies is beneficial, but not essential.

    • You will have a good sense of urgency and be well organised and nothing will be too much trouble for the customer.

    Their office is in London, but they are happy for this person to be based from home if they live too far to commute everyday but being able to come in frequently would be good. The hours are between 08.30 - 6 on a shift basis with half a day at a weekend every other week but this will become less as the team grows. The salary is competitive, 25 days holiday and a lovely supportive team.     We are working with one of the leading Field Sports agencies in the UK who have been established for over 45 years. They have built their reputation by providing outstanding sport, backed up by a highly efficient and personal level of service. They are looking for an Event Co-ordinator to join the team.

    Event Co-ordinator - What will I be doing?

    You will be liaising with clients and internal personnel to ensure all the details of events are arranged efficiently and all aspects of the administrative process regarding the planning and booking of events days are completed.

    This will include all related administration to include issuing invoices, building relationships with suppliers, processing and creating itineraries, applying for permits and much more.

    Event Co-ordinator - What experience do I need?

    It is essential that you have worked with discerning clients previously.
    You will be meticulously organised, have a great sense of urgency and experience of organising events together with the administrative support.

    Event Co-ordinator What else do I need to know?

    This is a full-time role Monday to Friday 9 - 5.30 but from September - February longer hours are sometimes needed. It is an office-based role. This is a lovely business, and the work is a great challenge and very interesting. This is a unique role.
